Dapple grey Estella II

A recently finished commission. This is the long maned version of Estella, one of the cobra mares, sculpted by Brigitte Eberl. Painted in pastels, acrylics and colored pencils to a medium dapple grey.

The Dutch dunes are a perfect backdrop for his dark sooty buckskin color. If I ever buy a real horse again, this is the color I will be looking for. :)

Just completed; the final Artist's Proof Fausto, number 5 in the series. Not for sale, he has already found a happy new owner.

Three Adibs

Miss Lizzie and Lonestar

Two recently finished commissions. I love stock horses, and I know many of you love them too and will be very pleased to hear about my new sculpting project. A traditional scale Lola!

 

Happy Holidays!

This dapple grey Lucius, sculpted by Emilia Kurila, is fresh out of the studio and belongs to Michele Brown, USA (commission). I am painting another copy, a bay going grey, and that one will be offered for sale in the new year.

That's one thing to look forward to in 2020, but there is more! Willem the draft will return, Lola will be joined by her brother, and collectors of 1:9 scale horses will not be forgotten. :)
